After delays on site due to the appalling weather, ACP Concrete fitters went to the Barlaston site in June to install 125 nos vertical cantilever panels. Main contractor, J N Bentley's, were impressed with the speed of installation which took only 6 days to complete. ACP will be returning to site in mid August to install another 165m run of walling.
Since the last news at the end of May ACP's installation team have returned to Whitby twice to install Phase's 2 & 3 of the retaining wall at the new Sainsbury's supermarket. In a total of 5 days 94 nos vertical retaining wall panels were installed giving a 121m wall length. Steve Willes of main contractor's Longcross Construction commented "The product is superb, on site works fantasticÂ…..highly recommended."
Mitie Infrastructure Ltd have placed an order with ACP for the design and supply of 5m high pushwalls at their new wood waste gasification plant in Plymouth. The project will utilise ACP’s latest addition to their product range, the 280mm thick prestressed concrete retaining wall panels.
Following on from a successful completion of Phase 1, ACP have won the contract for Phase 2 which involves the design, supply and installation of prestressed vertical panels to form a retaining wall 188m long x 3m high at the new Sainsbury's store in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
