Order For Camgrain EMAPC Awarded to ACP Concrete

Balsham Buildings Ltd recently awarded ACP the contract to design, supply and install over 1700sq metres of retaining walls at Camgrain’s Northants Advanced Processing Centre (APC), near Kettering. The 126m x 60m building will store up to 70,000 tonnes and the 6m high walls will be constructed using ACP Concrete’s 280mm thick prestressed concrete panels.  The Northants APC will be the most powerful grain drying and intake plant in the UK. Facilities will include a 20,000 t/day intake. It will also feature a fine cleaning facility to meet internationally recognised British Retail Consortium food standards.

Work began in March on the 48-acre green-field site and is expected to be fully completed in two years. It will, however, be operational for this year's harvest. ACP are due to begin installation of the walling panels during this summer.
